Vegetable Cultivatiion:
Subhadra, a women was given training and capital support of Tk. 10,000/- , (non-refundable) to establish vegetable garden to grow year round vegetable year. The aim of the activity is to produce vegetable year round for own consumption and at the same time to generate extra income selling it in local market places to support her family. Support was given by Christian aid under PAR program. The vegetable grower has a pice of land measuring about .15 dec. of land. Half o fthe land has a ditch/pond to store rainwater for watering vegetable garden in the lean season. Apart from, she has stocked fish fingerlings including prawn juvenile to produce fish in the pond. The pond will also give her family fish for consumption and at the same time extra income to support her family.
Saline Tolerant Rice Cultivation:
Women farmer was given Tk. 10,000/- (USD 100) ( non-refundable) as capital support to cultivate saline tolerant rice using surface water stored in canal. The support was given by Christian aid, under PAR project.
Goat Rearing:
Being common activity and completely for women of rural settings and profitable activity, women beneficiaries were given cash support to raise goat. The support was given by PAR project supported by Christian aid.
Communication:
Bamboo Bridge (Shako) is built to help commute local people across a canal, help women fetch water and children go to school safely. Christian aid under PAR project supported the activity.
